The language of worship is different for everyone. For some, a higher connection is
reached through traditional church music but others speak the language of rock and
metal. Enter This Surrender, a NYC-based Easycore band dedicated to performing their
music at any stage that will have them.
Led by James Franchise—known for his strong social media presence as The Metal
Worship Leader—This Surrender are musically inspired by metalcore stalwarts of the
past like Killswitch Engage and For Today plus more pop-oriented rock bands like A
Day to Remember and Four Year Strong. What sets This Surrender apart is their
dedication to their faith; they are just as inspired by God, Christ and The Holy Spirit as
they are other bands.
This Surrender are constantly forging ahead and completing new goals. Just recently, the
band met their goal to release their EP Departure. There
is no end in sight for This Surrender: the quartet plan to release another EP before
the year is over, spreading their message of love and hope through heavy music.
